In short

This site sets no cookies, uses no tracking and loads no third-party content. Fonts are self-hosted. We only collect data when you sign up for the beta.

Closed Beta sign-up

When you submit the form we store:

  • your e-mail address,
  • your language and – if provided – your region,
  • the time and text version of your consent, and the time of your confirmation,
  • a daily-rotating salted hash of your IP address (against mass sign-ups; we don’t store the IP itself with your sign-up).

Purpose: inviting you to beta waves and sending you your tester account. No newsletter, no sharing for advertising.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw at any time by e-mailing hello@howlfront.com; we then delete your data.

Confirmation (double opt-in): After you submit the form we send you an e-mail with a link. You only join the waitlist once you confirm there. This makes sure nobody signs up someone else’s address.

Retention: Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted automatically after 7 days. Confirmed sign-ups are kept until you withdraw, at the latest until the end of the beta phase or 12 months after your last invitation.

Hosting and recipients

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) delivers this website and protects it from attacks, processing technically necessary connection data (including IP address). Cloudflare also sends our e-mails to you (recipient, subject, content) and forwards replies to us (data processor).
  • netcup GmbH (Karlsruhe, Germany) runs the server that stores sign-ups (data processor). Access logs with IP addresses are deleted after 14 days.

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and withdrawal of consent (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
